SportivA Fencing SG60 National Day Fencing Challenge 2025
Get ready, fencers! SportivA is thrilled to launch our inaugural Fencing Challenge, a special event celebrating our club's birthday and Singapore's momentous SG60 National Day!
From July 12th (SportivA's Birthday!) to August 23rd (leading up to SG60!), this challenge invites all our SportivA fencers to push their limits, hone their skills, and embrace the spirit of determination. As part of our fencing family, join us in celebrating growth, passion, and the spirit of Singapore through the art of fencing.
⚔️Youth & Adults Challenge (13 & Above)⚔️
Goal:
Climb up the league and get as high Victory/Matches (V/M) ratio as possible.
Period:
12 July – 23 August 2025 (Last day, 23 August 2025)
Who Can Participate:
Open to all registered SportivA fencers
To Qualify:
Epee: Fence minimum of 10 matches of 5-points match with 7 unique fencers
Foil: Fence minimum of 7 matches of 5-points match with 5 unique fencers
Fence unlimited numbers of matches during challenge period
Calculated using ratio of V/M (Victory over Matches)
Challenge can be done during training session or any time in studio
Fencer must say “Challenge” to opponent before match can be registered
All fencers MUST accept challenge from any fencer once every session.
Only fencers with handicap bonus of 2 points can reject a match from higher tier opponent.Both fencers of the match must record Victory and Defeat on official score sheet in studio on the same day
Format
Bonus 2 Pts (Max)
Fencers with up to 2 years training experience gets bonus 2 points
OR
Fencers whose age (year of birth) younger by 3 years gets bonus 2 points
Bonus 1 Pt
Female fencer gets 1 point bonus against male of same age and older
Handicap Bonus Points
* Maximum: 2 points bonus in any match
** Goodwill: Fencers may offer not to use bonus in the match against their opponent

⚔️Kids (U12) Challenge⚔️
Objective:
To provide a fun and encouraging environment for our U12 fencers to apply their skills, gain valuable match experience, and foster sportsmanship in a friendly competitive setting.
Date:
16 August 2025 (Saturday), 4pm-515pm
Fencers will be fencing Poules and subsequently Direct Elimination.

10 points maximum (3 minutes) x 2 Interval
Weapon: Foil & Epee
Competition Format
Medals and certificates will be awarded to all fencers of each weapon category
